One of baseball’s finest and most beloved announcers, Ernie Harwell, passed away May 4, 2010 at his home in Novi, Michigan. He was 92. A Hall of Fame broadcaster, Ernie announced major league games for 55 years, 42 of those with the Detroit Tigers. He retired in 2002. Read the full story
